Wanty-Groupe Gobert rider Dion Smith has become the first Kiwi to wear a distinctive jersey on the famous race after claiming the King of the Mountains polka dot jersey on stage two.
He's likely to hold onto it for at least two stages, after bettering his breakaway companions on the only climb of the day.
World champion Peter Sagan has won the stage in a sprint finish to claim the leader's yellow jersey.
