Wellington bus users are being told to prepare for the biggest changes ever made to the network

Wellington bus users are being told to prepare for the biggest changes ever made to the network

Tranzit takes over the contract for most commuter routes this Sunday, resulting in a massive overhaul of the entire bus system.

Greater Wellington Regional Councillor Daran Ponter says people will be affected in different ways.

He says some people will find their local bus stop doesn't exist anymore, while others will find a stop much closer to where they live.

Timetables and routes will also be changed and new electric and double decker buses will come onboard.
