14 July 2018
Djokovic leads two sets to one after the match only started after 8pm local time because of the six hour and 35 minute semi-final between Kevin Anderson and John Isner.
Anderson eventually prevailed 26-24 in the fifth and deciding set and says his focus is now on recovery.
He says he needs a lot of treatment for his body and sleep is important too.
The Djokovic-Nadal semi-final will resume at midnight New Zealand time before the women's final between Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber.
