Heavy rain is causing havoc on Auckland roads this morning

Oteha Valley road on ramp in Albany has been closed due to flooding.

NZTA tweeted out the update shortly after eight this morning and is asking motorists to use alternative routes.

The North Western Motorway near Henderson is also flooded with NZTA warning of possible delays.

Auckland Transport are warning of potential other road closures in coastal areas as the rain is likely to hang around until the early afternoon.
