    One person has drowned and another is in a critical condition after being swept off rocks at Auckland's Muriwai Beach

    One person has drowned and another is in a critical condition after being swept off rocks at Auckland's Muriwai Beach


    Police and emergency services were called to the beach at around 2pm.

    Both people have been recovered from the water.

    A Police spokesperson says one person has not survived and the other is being taken to hospital in a critical condition.
