The cost of running a home has risen 3.1 per cent in the past year

Stats NZ prices senior manager Paul Pascoe says rates, property maintenance services and home insurance are all higher than they were this time last year.
Figures out today show overall inflation is at 1.5 per cent - slightly lower than economists had expected but in line with central bank forecasts.
