The public transport network has had a shake-up after Tranzit took over the contract for most commuter routes on Sunday.
Commuters have been complaining online about some drivers taking the wrong routes or using paper to know where they're going.
Greater Wellington Regional councillor Daran Ponter says it's because some of the drivers have come across from other operators while others have only had a week of training.
He says it's partly a consequence of being able to find drivers as all of Australasia is struggling with a shortage.
