Tevita Kuridrani will miss the next three months due to a pectoral injury, joining Michael Cheika's first-choice 13 Samu Kerevi on the sidelines.
Former league player Curtis Rona and Reece Hodge are the two players most likely to start for the Wallabies at centre, although the latter has played at first-five for the Melbourne Rebels for much of this year.
Australia open their Rugby Championship campaign against the All Blacks in Sydney in four weeks time.
