Janine Southby's topsy-turvy reign as Silver Ferns head coach is over
21 July 2018
Southby has stepped down in the wake of Netball New Zealand's Independent Review of the Silver Ferns' disastrous 2018 Commonwealth Games campaign.
Southby assumed the role in 2015 and finishes with a 20 win to 19 loss record, with the Ferns winning just six of their last 18 games.
Netball NZ CEO Jennie Wyllie says it always a difficult situation.
Netball New Zealand have started the hunt for a new head coach, with a squad to be named next month ahead of September's home Quad Series against England.
