The Weekend Herald understands Star Sports, who have the rights for India's tour of New Zealand, have asked for the five one-day internationals and three twenty20s to start an hour later.
This would mean start times of 3pm for ODI's and 8pm for Twenty20s.
If the broadcaster gets its wish, games wouldn't finish until 11pm local time, meaning it would go beyond the 10pm threshold Eden Park currently has to abide to.
Resource consent would be required to extend the time frame.
