    Police cordons near Himatangi Beach in the Manawatu have been lifted after access to the village was cut off while they searched for a man


    Police were called to a property near Wylie Road and Himatangi Beach Road after an altercation this morning involving two men.

    One man sustained minor injuries to his hand, while the other apparently remains at large.

    Police have been unable to confirm if the man has been found.

    A worker at the Himatangi Beach Holiday Park says police told them shortly before one thirty that guests could leave again because the cordons had been lifted.
