The Ministry of Justice says while it has no plans to increase the daily fee for being on a jury, those who'd suffer financial hardship can ask for extra.
The issue's back in the headlines, after a man claimed he'd not be able to pay rent, if he was selected for a trial - and be paid well below the minimum wage for his time.

Ministry spokesperson, Renee Smith, says the attendance fee is not intended to replace wages.
