New Zealand's BAFTA winning costume designer Ngila Dickson says she cried when she heard about her award earlier today.
Ngila Dickson has taken the British Academy award for best costumes for her work on "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers", beating designers from the films "Chicago", "Gangs of New York", "Frida" and "Catch Me If You Can".
Currently working on the set of "The Last Samurai" in Taranaki, Ms Dickson says the crew applauded when the news came through, and then it was back to work.
She says the gong puts her in the top ranks of the industry and was a complete surprise.
