Lessons learned over effects of moth spray
OSH says lessons learned over effects of aerial moth spraying after investigation at a Hamilton high school
29 November 2003
OSH says lessons have been learned over the effects of aerial spraying following its investigation into staff at Hamilton's Fraser High School.
The school's principal Martin Elliott complained when MAF doctors wouldn't take their complaints seriously and OSH has found the spraying is to blame for their illnesses.
OSH spokesman Keith Stewart says it has always been known some individuals would be affected by the spray.
But he says MAF intends keeping doctors better informed to ensure conditions are diagnosed and managed promptly.
He adds MAF didn't realise so many people at the same place had food allergies.
