    A boost for rugby league in the Southern Hemisphere

    The newly-minted Pacific Championships will feature men's and women's teams from Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and the Cook Islands.

    As part of the competition, the Kiwis will take on Samoa at Eden Park on October 21, headlining a triple-header which also includes the Kiwi Ferns and a Kiwi A team.
