    Tua dispute before courts

High Court at Auck hears dispute between boxer David Tua and Kevin Barry about multi-million dollar beach front property

    7 February 2005
The bitter and protracted falling out between boxer David Tua and his former managers will be laid bare in the High Court at Auckland this week.

A substantive hearing over who owns a 51-hectare beach front property at Pakiri, north of Auckland, begins today.

Tua split from Kevin Barry and Martin Pugh in a blaze of publicity in July 2003.

One of the assets at the heart of the wrangling is the Pakiri land, which Mr Tua says he owns outright.

Mr Barry and Mr Pugh argue they each own a quarter of the property, because it was bought by the Tua company Tuaman Inc. in which they both hold a 25 percent stake.
