Bands play for tsunami relief fund

Salmonella Dub among the bands playing for tsunami relief fund at Western Springs in Auckland today

    27 February 2005
At least one band is looking forward to giving something back at today's charity concert at Auckland's Western Springs.

Some of the country's best-known musicians have banded together to raise money for the tsunami relief fund.

Salmonella Dub's Andrew Penman says the band loves playing outdoor gigs and it is not often they get to play to an audience of all ages.

He is looking at today's concert as a case of give and take.

Andrew Penman says what goes around comes around, and it is nice to make the effort to give something back.

He says it is a great cause and being part of a real community-building event like this is great.

The concert begins at 11 o'clock this morning and runs till about seven o'clock tonight.

    Tickets are $20.
