Bond heads to training camp next week

Hamish Bond, fours rower, taking part in training camp next week after being injured when struck by truck while training

    22 December 2007
New Zealand fours rower Hamish Bond will be back in the boat at a post-Christmas training camp next week.

Bond was injured when he was struck by a truck while out training but has been back on the rowing machine this week.

Fours teammate Eric Murray says Bond has recovered well and will take part in the training camp in Wanganui on Boxing Day. He says the time spent apart as a four has actually been good, as it has prevented them from becoming stale.

The team has been undergoing rowing machine testing, but will now have a few days off before Christmas.
