Ashton and Boffa win pairs title

Rob Ashton and Ray Boffa have beaten Matt Gallop and Chris Le Lievre in an exciting final at the Bowls champs

    9 January 2009
Rob Ashton has made up for his 2002 finals disappointment to win the men's pairs title at the National Bowls Championships in Auckland.

Ashton and Ray Boffa have beaten Matt Gallop and Chris Le Lievre 15-13 in an exciting final. Ashton says he was reminded of the 2002 final loss during the tournament. He says he is pleased to go one better today.

Sharon Sims and Mary Campbell have once again won the women's pairs title. The experienced duo have beaten Wellington's Dale Lang and Fiona McKinlay 16-12 in the final to claim their third title in four seasons.
