The Mini turns 50
Mini enthusiasts all over New Zealand are paying tribute to the British cult car by emulating "Goodbye Pork Pie"
10 April 2009
The Mini is celebrating it's 50th birthday with one of our famous films. Mini enthusiasts all over the country are paying tribute to the British cult car by emulating "Goodbye Pork Pie".
A 37-strong convoy of old and new Minis left Kaitaia this afternoon, traveling south and arriving in Invercargill on Tuesday. Stop-overs and festivities planned along the way include open air cinemas and a special guest appearance by Lucy Lawless. The aim is to raise $100,000 for the Starship Foundation.
