Gisborne and Hawkes Bay Showers for a time in Gisborne Wednesday morning, otherwise long fine spells. Wanganui, Taihape and Manawatu A few showers. Kapiti, Wellington and Wairarapa, also Nelson, Buller and the Marlborough Sounds Mostly cloudy with showers, heavy at times. Remainder of Marlborough, and Canterbury Fine at first.
