Rain becoming widespread in the morning with heavy falls and possible thunderstorms, easing to isolated showers in the evening.
Gisborne and Hawke's Bay
Rain developing in the morning, possibly heavy about Gisborne from afternoon.
Whanganui, Manawatu and Taihape
Cloudy. Scattered rain developing in the morning.
Horowhenua, Kapiti Coast, Wellington and Wairarapa
Cloudy periods. Isolated showers north of Wellington from afternoon.
Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland
Mainly fine. Cloud increasing about Westland this evening.
Canterbury and Otago, except Clutha
