From Northland to Taranaki and Taupo, including Coromandel, Bay of Plenty and also Gisborne Occasional showers, some heavy for a time this afternoon and evening, with possible squally thunderstorms and hail. Wanganui and Taihape to Manawatu, also Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa Scattered showers clearing this morning then mainly fine. Kapiti Coast, Wellington and northern Marlborough A few showers, especially about the Sounds. The remainder of Marlborough and also Canterbury Showers becoming isolated this morning and fine spells developing. Nelson and Buller Showers, some heavy and possibly thundery. Westland and Fiordland Showers, mainly north of the Glaciers. Otago and Southland Rain becoming widespread this afternoon. Chatham Islands Cloudy.
