Becoming northerly 20 knots everywhere in the afternoon. Becoming northerly 35 knots but easterly 25 knots south of Tolaga Bay in the evening. Sea becoming very rough north of Tolaga Bay late. Long period southwest swell 2 metres, easing. Northwest swell 1 metre north of East Cape developing late. Poor visibility in developing morning rain. Outlook following 3 days: Sunday: Easterly 10 knots, becoming variable 10 knots but southeast 20 knots north of East Cape early. Becoming variable 10 knots everywhere later. Northwest swell becoming moderate north of East Cape for a time. Moderate southwest swell developing late. Monday: Variable 10 knots, becoming southerly 15 knots later. Moderate southwest swell.
