Australians are paying more than ever at the petrol pump

Australians are paying more than ever at the petrol pump

    27 April 2024
The average price of 91 octane unleaded has soared to 2 dollars 17 cents Australian in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

That's the equivalent of 2 dollars 39 cents in New Zealand dollars.

Compare the Market's Chris Ford says there are several factors behind the price-spike, but motorists should hold off from blaming retailers.
