Dairy farmers are looking ahead - both for the environment, and their farms

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
New data from Fonterra shows 34 percent of farmers have a tailored environment plan, up from 23 percent at the start of the year.

Fonterra's director of global sustainability Carolyn Mortland says it's about enhancing the land, while also making it more resilient.

She says an important part of ensuring farms survive in the future is making sure the soil, water, and greenhouse gases meet customer needs.
