    The Illawarra Hawks have axed their head coach, days out from meeting fellow Australian basketball league battlers the Breakers


    Jacob Jackomas has been relieved of his duties, with the club acting after a 2-7 start that followed his horror first season in charge.

    Assistant coach Justin Tatum replaces Jackomas on an interim basis.

    The Hawks and Breakers meet on Sunday in Auckland, after the Breakers shoot for their third win of the season away against Tasmania on Thursday night.
