To a fairytale return in basketball's NBA..

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has scored a buzzer-beating basket to seal a 115-113 win over the New Orleans Pelicans - on ESPN.

The clutch play came in the all-star guard's first appearance of the season - as he returned from a 25-game suspension after twice being seen on social media holding a handgun.

Morant finished with 34 points - 27 of those coming in the second half, 14 in the final quarter.

The result snapped a five-game losing streak for the Grizzlies - who are without Kiwi big man Steven Adams after he was ruled out for the season after knee surgery last month.
