    Fonterra's new chief executive is expected to be far more approachable than his predecessor

    Head of global strategy Miles Hurrell has become the co-operative's new interim chief executive, replacing Theo Spierings with immediate effect.

    The Country's Rowena Duncum says farmers welcome the change.

    She says Fonterra now has two New Zealanders in charge, who the local dairy sector already know well.
