Trade Me's Property Price Index shows nationally, average asking prices
dropped 1.4 percent from June to July.
In the capital, prices were up 0.2 per cent.
And in the past year, the average asking price has increased by 11.3 percent.
Head of Trade Me Property Nigel Jeffries says Wellington is the only main
metro area to have seen double digits growth this year.
He says there simply aren't enough houses for sale.
