Bus passenger numbers in Wellington are holding steady - despite claims commuters are ditching the system.
Greater Wellington Regional Council's chief executive Greg Campbell's presenting a report into the city's troubled bus network tomorrow.
It shows despite the changes, 36-thousand more bus trips were taken in July compared to last year.
August was up 17-thousand trips on last year.
The figures come as a surprise to regional councillor Daran Ponter.
He says the council's tested the loyalty of passengers - but they're still staying with public transport.
