Concerns about a potential earthquake risk in a Wellington movie complex are confined to the cinema levels of the building

Reading Cinema's Courtney Central site was abruptly closed almost a week ago.
This after a draft engineering report identified several areas that may perform at an unacceptable level during a major earthquake.
City council business engagement manager Phil Becker says engineers have confirmed there's no increased risk outside the footprint of the building.
He says they've been given strong assurance of that.
