New Zealanders are spending less on fuel -- but spending more on other things

Retail card spending fell 0.5-percent in June.
Stats NZ says on average fuel prices fell by about eight cents a litre last month.
People instead opted to spend more money on furniture, hardware, appliances, clothes and restaurant meals.
