Accommodation providers say New Zealand can't rest on its laurels when it comes to tourism

Accommodation providers say New Zealand can't rest on its laurels when it comes to tourism

    13 July 2019
Foreign guests spent seven-point-four percent fewer nights in hotels, motels, backpackers and holiday parks in May this year, than the same time last year.

It's the sixth consecutive month of falling international guests nights.

Holiday Parks CEO Fergus Brown says it's important we continue to value you the visitor market.

He says with the international visitor levy and talks of bed taxes - we have to be careful we don't start taking them for granted.
