Mobil is promising to work with other fuel companies to secure the jet fuel supply to Auckland Airport

Mobil is promising to work with other fuel companies to secure the jet fuel supply to Auckland Airport

    17 September 2019
A Government inquiry into the 2017 fuel pipeline leak has reiterated the need for urgent investment into resilience for critical infrastructure.

The rupture cut fuel to Auckland airport for 10 days.

Mobil Lead Country Manager Andrew McNaught says it's working with other industry participants on potential methods to enhance jet fuel capacity in Auckland.

He says this will likely include additional storage, but the timing and location is yet to be determined.
