    Supply is still unable to keep up with demand when it comes to rental properties

    TradeMe's released its rental price index, which shows the latest data from December.

    Across the country, national supply is up 11 percent, but demand is up 13 percent.

    The national median weekly rent last month was four per cent up on the previous December.

    Marlborough, Gisborne, and Wellington all achieved record-breaking highs.
