Many households seem still nervous about the economic outlook

Many households seem still nervous about the economic outlook

    18 June 2025
The June quarter Westpac McDermott Miller Consumer Confidence index rose two points - to 91.2.

Anything below 100 indicates a pessimistic view.

Senior Economist Satish Ranchhod says cost of living pressures continue to knock confidence.

He says large increases for essentials like food and utilities are a big concern, especially for those on lower incomes.
