The Southern Steel have done the near unthinkable
The Southern Steel have done the near unthinkable

The defending champions have rallied back from an 11 point deficit in the
second quarter, to claim the ANZ Premiership title 54-53 over the Central Pulse
in Palmerston North.
Remarkably, the Steel were down by five with five minutes left, though
managed to score the last seven goals.
Steel defender Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit says it's the ideal way to send out
their retiring skipper Wendy Frew.
She says Frew is the heart of the team and always wants to do things for
others.
Gina Crampton's been named player of the match.
