12 August 2018
The defending champion Southern Steel have overcome an 11 point deficit in
the second quarter, and rallied back from five down with five minutes left in
the match to secure the title 54-53 over the Central Pulse in Palmerston North.
Steel defender Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit can't believe it.
She says while you never want to say die, she thought it was all over.
It sees Steel captain Wendy Frew bow out as a winner, as she pulls the
curtain on a 16 season career.
