The second lot of the day, a filly from Milan Park in Cambridge, went for 320 thousand dollars, which is about what you'd pay for a house in Masterton.
Yesterday's turnover at the bloodstock auction was 10.9 million dollars.
NZ Bloodstock managing director Andrew Seabrook says it's an amazing atmosphere in the auditorium.
He says it was standing room only yesterday and yet, you could hear a pin drop.
A study in 2016 estimated the Karaka Sales inject 75 million dollars into New Zealand, through horse sales to foreign buyers.
Foreign visitors also spend about three million dollars while here.
