The 60-year-old was due home on Sunday, but when he still hadn't turned up by Tuesday, a search and rescue operation was launched.
He was found around 6.30 this morning by a helicopter using thermal imaging.
Police say the man's been taken to Masterton Hospital with a suspected broken leg.
They're thanking all the volunteers and organisations who helped find him.
