Two new reports have revealed Hamilton's economic growth over the past year remains above the New Zealand average.
The data-- which uses information from several organisations and the Council -- shows Hamilton's net migration and GDP both increased over the past 12 months.
The number of building consents also rose by 35 percent, unemployment rates dropped, and the number of businesses in the CBD is at its highest in 10 years.
The Council's General Manager City Growth, Jen Baird, says we often think of growth as new houses and new subdivisions, but it's also more jobs, more vibrancy and more investment.
