Sam Samson Duffy will be freed this weekend after serving a nine-year jail term, for the sexual abuse of two young girls.
He was denied parole seven times during his stay behind bars.
He's continued to maintain his innocence and has had no psychological treatment in prison.
The mother of Duffy's victim raised concerns when the Parole Board set minimal conditions for his release.
The Otago Daily Times reports the Board has now banned Duffy from entering Dunedin for six months and has ordered him to submit to GPS monitoring.
