New research shows why many New Zealanders might be addicted to caffeine

A survey of two thousand four hundred people indicated three quarters consume caffeine at least every day and one in five met the criteria of having a caffeine use disorder.
Auckland University's Dr Simone Rodda says 85 percent of participants reported some psychological and physical harms when caffeine in the body was reduced.
She says this included feeling dehydrated, irritable or having a desire for sugar
