A far-right activist has been denied bail after being arrested for allegedly breaching the national Covid-19 lockdown

A group of around 10 anti-lockdown protesters gathered at the Bridge of Remembrance in central Christchurch yesterday.
Kyle Chapman, along with a 46-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were charged with failing to comply with a direction prohibition restriction
The 50-year-old today appeared in Christchurch District Court from custody, via audiovisual link, wearing a 'Freedom for the children t-shirt.
He was remanded in custody to reappear next Tuesday.
