Police were called to disrupt a mass brawl on a boat in Auckland earlier this evening

Police were called to disrupt a mass brawl on a boat in Auckland earlier this evening

Footage shows five police cars and a large van waiting on the viaduct just after 5, with at least 13 police officers at the scene.

It's understood a person on a charter boat phoned authorities to report fighting had broken out on board the vessel.

One column of officers stood guard while others wrestled a man to the ground and marched him to the police van.

Police say they met a vessel at the viaduct after reports of people acting disorderly and fighting.
