An increase in Greater Christchurch bus fares has been confirmed by the regional council

An increase in Greater Christchurch bus fares has been confirmed by the regional council

Environment Canterbury's voted in favour of lifting fares - for adults it'll go to $3, for under 18s to $2.50, and to $1.50 for children.

They'll come into effect next year - although a date is still to be confirmed.

It follows the Transport Agency's request for higher transport agency revenue.

Council also voted to extend its flat-fare trial from June 30th 2025, to February 2026.
