Community detention for a primary school teacher who stroked and massaged two schoolgirls' feet

Community detention for a primary school teacher who stroked and massaged two schoolgirls' feet

Matthew Sue started working as a teacher in February last year, where he called two girls into a classroom separately, telling them to take off their shoes, before rubbing their feet.

Sue left the school after only 11 days when the offending came to light.

One of the victim's fathers told the Wellington District Court it's significantly affected their family.

Sue's been sentenced to six months community detention with a nightly curfew and 12 months' supervision for assessment, treatment and counselling.
