    A gang member has been arrested after allegedly shooting at a house in Wellington


    Police were called to a house on Coast Road in Wainuiomata, shortly after 2.30 this morning, after a man known to the occupants arrived and fired shots through a window.

    The man left the scene and travelled to Lower Hutt where he was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.

    The 36-year-old will appear in Lower Hutt District Court on Monday.

    Police are also seeking sightings of the man's silver Mazda Axela hatchback in Wainuiomata and Lower Hutt.
