An uptick in economic activity has brought encouraging signs for SME manufacturing businesses

A new Unleashed Software report has found purchasing activity rose by an average of six-point-two percent in the third quarter of this year, the first rise since 2022.
While average sales revenue dropped by minus point-seven-two percent, an improvement on almost minus 10 percent in the second quarter.
Content manager Greg Rowan says OCR cuts have been a big driving factor in the rise.
He says their report is mirroring what's been seen around the globe -- particularly with Australia and the UK -- as New Zealand moves from this high inflationary period.
